Keep your boilers burning..

.. right around the yard.

If I listen to one more Thomas song today, I may go crazy!!!

We haven't had Thomas day in a long time, but come on, "Songs from the Station" has to wear out sometime. Please tell me it will.

We even had a fun day colouring on the windows in the kitchen with our new "Crayola Window Writers". They are wonderful new washable markers to use on the window. They are a bit streaky to wash off, but it was still fun. Although "J" did get upset when he got marker on his pants, I told him it would wash off. He was ok with that but, he won't wear them anymore.

Now, how to get him to have a nap before I go crazy with these songs.

I hear you, Anna!! Although the Wiggles have briefly displaced Thomas as the soundtrack of my brain, I'm a little sick of both of them.

We love window-writers, too! We got some last spring, but I'm a little worried to use them again in case the boys get the idea that they can use any old marker on the window. You know what else works great on the window? Kids watercolour paints in those cheap palettes. We used to paint our patio window every year, way before we had kids.

I am not familiar with the Thomas songs, but we did have a couple of Fristy days over the holidays, I swear we heard it a million times in one day.

Have often seen those writers but too scared to try them...maybe one day? Should let them do it on the sliding door since it will be gone this summer (renovation).

When/if J had a nap, I wanna know what grown up songs you listened to? Or perhaps it was just the silence you savoured.

We got those Window Markers but only I or big sis are allowed to use them, I know bad mom. We just have them direct us on what they want where.

We are into Carmen Campagne songs and I hate it when I catch myself humming the tunes, total brainwashing :(

LOL!

Nancy, I rarely listen to music in the house anymore. Sadly since our stero moved to the basement I seem to only play it in the car. I can play music on the dvd, which I do once in a while, but mostly I listen to nothing or have a tv in the background. When I am in the car though, we do not play kids tunes, we play U2, Jack Johnson, John Mellancamp, Mixes of music ranging from the '80's to now. I love music in the car.

So far so good with the window writers, they have stayed on the windows (only the patio door though).
