A Conversation with Hubby

Hubby:"I can't wait until we hit the beach."

Me: "Yes, me too, the sun, sand, surf."

Hubby: "Sun, Sand, Surf? I can't wait for all the food. Grotto's pizza, beach fries, hamburgers..."

Me: " I love you honey, and you and my Dad could be separated at birth."

Hubby: "What?"

Me: "You sound just like Dad."

Hubby: "I guess we both think alike."

Me: "As long as you don't eat alike then we are all good."

Hubby: "I suppose, but I run and your Dad doesn't"

Me: "Yep, he used to say that when he was your age too."

Hubby: "Oh, ok. Well, it's just a week and vacation."

Me: "This is true, but he used to say that too."

Hubby: "I guess we are alike."

Me: "More than you will ever know."

That's so funny! I've often heard that you end up marrying your father (well, at least someone very much like him). Recently I even heard that they did studies that showed that if you had a close relationship with your father, your partner's features/shape face etc. would be similar to your Dad's, but if you didn't get along, faces would be entirely different! food for thought...
I don't see it with my hubby just yet, but never say never :)
BTW, may I blogroll you?

What beach are you going to always looking for new ideas for vacation. We have rented a house in Nova Scotia
with our good friends and all the kids. Where do you stay also.

Karen, you are so right! Although Hubby and my Dad do not look that much alike, their behaviours are almost exactly the same. Right from the silly songs they sing in the morning to outbursts of hilarity at the least most expected moment. And yes, my Dad and I do get along, always have. And feel free to blogroll me, I need to update my blogroll too so I will add you over there on the side :).

Anonymous.. you would be??? I'll give you beach details if you go with a reveal :)

Hahaha! That is too cute! My husband told me the other day that I have a lot in common with his mom! LOL! I was like, "Uhhhh...Is that a good thing or a bad thing??" LOL! He said it's a good thing and that is one of the reasons he married me. *sigh*

hmmmmmmm
that is intersting about the *who ya marry*... my hubby is really like my mum in temperament.. although he has a brain like *both* my mum and dad: logical and sequential like dad and creative and analytical like mum. so i have the best of both worlds lol.

now, BeachHubby, one wise friend once said to me:
a minute on the lips, a lifetime on the hips.
but maybe that only applies to chicks....

Just stumbled onto your site via SAJ...and we LOVE Grotto's pizza! Have you ever heard of Thrasher's Fries? We live in Colorado but are heading to Bethany Beach in 2 days...does any of this mean anything to you or is Grotto's a big chain everywhere now and I'm just speaking jibberish?

Anonymous #2... we will be right next door to you in Rehoboth! You are so not speaking jibberish. I have only ever met one or maybe two other people that know of Grotto's and Thrashers. I love Thrashers, not because of the fries themselves but because of the apple cider vinegar (yes, my mouth is watering)as we don't have the same vinegar here. And no Grotto's isn't a big chain yet, but Hubby has high hopes.
